What comes to mind when you think of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washngton? Now imagine being the direct descendent of both of these incredible men. What do you think you would be doing in 2014? On one side you have someone who was a former slave, credited with being instrumental in ending the very institution under which he was born. On the other side you have the great educator who over came the harsh reality of his times to build one of the most prestigious universities of our time. Well, Mr. Kenneth B. Morris can tell us what that legacy has done to and for him. Currently, He fights to abolish modern day slavery and utilizes education of young people as a preventive measure. Remarkable or predestination? Well, I for one do not believe in coincidence. Learn more about about the FDFI here, In The Basement With JaVonne, get involved, and spread the word!
